Gotse Delchev spent his childhood in a patriarchal
domestic
atmosphere in which prevalent were strict moral and obedience towards
the older
instilled by his father, kindness and open-heartedness inspired by his
mother,
love towards goodness and justice typical of his both parents. As a
student in
catholic and afterwards in a bulgarian religious school in Kukush,
G.Delchev
demonstrates his … for knowledge, diligently and flare for the taught
subjects.
After
the completion of his 3rd grade in Kukush – bulgarian school, Gotse is
summoned
as assistant in his father’s kiosk such in the wish of Nicolas Delchev.
The
first months showed that Gotse is not willing to produce his father’s
famous
coffee. The father then decided to make his son co-merchant but the
desire to
learn do not encourage Goce’s advancement in his area. Then Gotse’s
teachers
intervened and mature friends of his father. Thus Nicolas Delchev
resolves to
send his bright and industrious son in the Solun High school.
Goce
left his father’s home and birthplace in order to enroll in the Solun High School
in 1888. Goce is among the top students of his class. He shows
particular intårest in history,
geography and mathematics. Sociable and good-natured he
is always eager to lend a helping hand to those behind. On the annual
ceremony
of the graduation of the 5th grade, Goce Delchev receives personally
from the
Solun’s Administrative Body the prose of Pushkin as a reward of his
exceptional
results.
A
turning point of Goce’s life are the secret meetings with students from
the Solun High School.
Goce himself was it’s head in which all of the members, the future
rebels for
national freedom formed their perception of world. In this meeting the
students
learn to think and discuss politics. This meeting prepare the students
for hard
and glorious ways to freedom.
